Adventist Paulson Rehab Network: Community Pool Classes
Adventist Paulson Rehab Network offers community pool classes for individuals with arthritis or other medically related problems. Exercising in warm water decreases stress to joints while relaxing sore muscles, and the buoyancy of the water assists in performing the exercises. The pools are kept at a temperature of 90-92 degrees Fahrenheit.
Open Pool
Independent exercise program under the supervision of a Paulson staff member in which the members are responsible for their own exercise program.
Structured Classes
Participants are led through a series of range of motion, stretching and strengthening exercises as instructed by a Paulson staff member.
Advanced Circuit Training (ACT)
The ACT program membership provides the individual with the opportunity to perform total body strengthening, as well as cardiovascular conditioning.
The emphasis of the ACT program is on the safe and proper use of exercise equipment in a setting supervised by individuals with training in orthopedic rehabilitation.
Rules and Requirements (for ACT Membership)
Attendance is limited to once per day. Club memberships are available to those individuals not receiving individual physical therapy on a regular basis. A doctor's prescription is not required; however, it may assist participants who are seeking insurance reimbursement.
To enroll in any of our classes or for more information please call Willowbrook at 630-856-8200.
