Rehabilitation: Adventist Paulson Rehab Network
Since 1904, when David Paulson, M.D., first opened the doors of Adventist Hinsdale Hospital, we have been recognized for our emphasis in treating the whole person -- physically, emotionally and spiritually. In the late 1940s, when polio was the scourge of our nation, we were one of the country's leading rehab centers. Today, we provide a full range of rehabilitation services to patients recovering from: cerebrovascular accidents, traumatic brain injury, orthopedic dysfunction including neck and back injuries, arthritis, spinal cord injury, amputation, cancer, progressive neurological conditions, voice disorders, work-related and other trauma injuries, developmental delay, cerebral palsy, autism and sensory processing disorder. Emphasis is placed not only on increasing or restoring function following accident or illness, but also on prevention of injury through education, community programming and corporate teamwork.
Our Mission...
Is to provide excellent rehabilitation services for individuals with physical and cognitive impairment in order to foster their maximum functional independence. We partner with patients and families seeking to meet each person's unique needs and to provide whole-person care in this Christian institution.
Our Team Approach to Care...
Begins with the patient-who is our ultimate team member. Paulson Rehab physicians, nurses and specialists on the team include: Board-certified Physiatrists, Neuropsychologists, Certified Case Managers, Certified Rehab Nurses, Physical and Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists, Audiologists, Dietitians, Massage Therapists, Exercise Physiologists, Licensed Social Workers, Recreational Therapists, Work Evaluation Specialists, Chaplains and Administrators and support personnel.
All staff are committed to high ethical standards in behavior, clinical, business and marketing practices. The team works together to foster an environment of respect, cooperation, compassion and honesty. Diversity in background, race, religion and culture is valued and welcomed.
