Mental Health: Senior Behavioral Health
This inpatient program is tailored to the unique needs of older adults and devoted to helping them optimize their mental health. The program's goal is to successfully manage behavioral and emotional symptoms with a multidisciplinary approach to treatment that promotes stabilization and return to the home environment. Individuals may participate in the adult outpatient program.
In all cases, the geriatric multidisciplinary team provides crisis intervention, diagnostic evaluation, treatment plans and knowledgeable, specialized care. Treatment addresses the behavioral and emotional symptoms, cognitive impairments and difficulties a senior might be having with day-to-day living, such as bathing, feeding, dressing and general hygiene. In addition, though your primary care physician, you have full access to Adventist GlenOaks Hospital's other medical services such as physical therapy, speech and other specialties.
