Know the Signs and Symptoms:

• Chest discomfort or discomfort in other areas of the upper body including in the shoulders, arms, jaw, back or stomach
• Nausea, shortness of breath, breaking out in a cold sweat or lightheadedness can be a sign of a heart attack
• Unusual fatigue and trouble sleeping may be related to heart problems
• Women are less likely to believe they are having a heart attack. When in doubt, check it out. CALL 9-1-1

Understand your risk factors:

• Do you know your HDL and LDL cholesterol level? What does it mean?
• Do you know your Body Mass Index?
• Do you know your blood pressure?
• Do you have a family history of heart disease?
• Do you smoke?
• Do you have diabetes?
