G.I. Lab/Endoscopy - Endoscopic Procedures

Endoscopic procedures use a flexible lighted tube to view the inside of the body. Endoscopy is used to diagnose and treat a variety of health conditions including:

  • Upper gastrointestinal hemorrhage
  • Unexplained radiological findings

Unexplained signs and symptoms, including:

  • Dysphagia
  • Odynophagia (painful swallowing)
  • Gastroesophageal Reflux
  • Obstructing foreign bodies
  • Upper abdominal pain
  • Gastric ulcer, polyp or tumor
  • Duodenal polyp or tumor
  • Lower G.I. bleeding
  • Diarrhea/Lower abdominal pain
  • Rectal polyps or colonic polyps or tumor
  • Obstructive jaundice
  • Papillary stenosis
  • Hemoptysis
