Cancer: Clinical Research
Adventist La Grange Memorial Hospital stays at the forefront of investigational research by participating in many ongoing clinical trials, each designed to test treatments for specific cancers. For instance, we are part of a national prevention trial in which we recruited men from our community considered at risk for prostate cancer and provided them with an experimental drug. We are following these volunteers to see if the drug seems to prevent the disease from occurring. It is through such trials and research that we facilitate the discovery and availability for new and effective treatments for our patients.
