Cancer Care Program

In 1988, Adventist La Grange Memorial Hospital opened the Treatment Pavilion with the mission of increasing the cancer survival rate and to enhance the quality of life for all cancer patients. To achieve this, our team of specialists provides a full continuum of service-prevention, early detection, diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation and lifetime follow-up that meet the physical, emotional, spiritual, psychological, and educational needs of cancer patients and their families.

We take pride in being one of only 25 Illinois cancer programs to be designated an "Approved Comprehensive Community Cancer Program" by the Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons. But most of all, we take pride in the relationship we develop with our "family" of cancer survivors, many of whom remain in touch with us long after they are discharged.

The Adventist La Grange Memorial Hospital Radiation Oncology Program is led by the cancer specialists from the University of Chicago. At the Treatment Pavilion, the University's radiation oncologists direct a wide range of radiation services from treatment planning and advanced procedures such as brachytherapy to follow-up care.
