Cancer

You'll find the answers from the cancer professionals at Adventist Hinsdale Hospital and Adventist La Grange Memorial Hospital. Our team of specialists provide a full continuum of services-prevention, early detection, diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation and lifetime follow-up that meet the physical, emotional, spiritual, psychological, and educational needs of cancer patients and their families. In addition to caring for the patients diagnosed with cancer, it is actively involved in basic and clinical cancer research to seek new ways to detect, treat and prevent this dreaded disease.

The cancer programs at both hospitals have been designated as an "Approved Comprehensive Community Cancer Program" by the Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons. The Commission on Cancer sets the standards for care in the nation. Our program follows their guidelines. Approval by the Commission on Cancer is given to only those facilities that have voluntarily committed to provide the best in diagnosis and treatment of cancer and to undergo a rigorous evaluation process and review of its performance. In order to maintain approval, facilities with approved cancer programs must undergo an on-site review at least every 3-years. Our hospitals are included in a select group of approximately 25 hospital programs in Illinois designated as an Approved Comprehensive Community Cancer Program.

The Commission on Cancer works closely with both the American Cancer Society and the National Cancer Institute to ensure cancer is openly addressed and actively researched.
