Birck Family Women's and Children's Center: Full Staff Lactation Center

We know first-time moms are sometimes apprehensive about breastfeeding. Since we believe in the physical, emotional and bonding benefits of breastfeeding, The Birck Family Women's and Children's Center is one of the few birthing centers in the western suburbs with a fully staffed lactation department. We also offer a variety of classes and our popular breastfeeding support group is available to you.

Many women choose to strengthen the mother/child bond and give their babies the best in nutrition by breastfeeding - and sometimes they need a little extra help learning the techniques and benefits of breastfeeding. That's why Adventist Hinsdale Hospital has opened a comprehensive Lactation Center. Staffed by nurses who are International Board-Certified Lactation Consultants, the Lactation Center of Adventist Hinsdale Hospital offers personalized care and services, including:

• In hospital visit

Being a new mother is challenging enough without an ill fitting or too tight nursing bra!!

We carry the Medela softcup seamless and comfort bras for your convenience. Extended sizes (to 46H) in the softcup bra are available as well. Our Lactation Center is available to serve you with breast pump sales or rentals, milk bags, Lilypadz, or any other support product.
