Ministries and Mission

Adventist health care is based on the belief that a wholesome lifestyle contributes to good physical health and enhances a person's mental and spiritual potential. Recognizing the importance of whole-person health and the relationship of physical well-being with emotional and spiritual well-being, the founders of the Seventh-day Adventist Church opened a new kind of health center in Battle Creek, Michigan in 1866.

Today, our Chaplains are even more committed to providing spiritual and emotional care with Christian compassion and thoughtful service.

Adventist Midwest Health

A Christian health-care leader committed to partnering with physicians and community to provide whole-person care and promote wellness.

Department of Ministries & Mission

We are a team of Christian professionals committed to providing the healing ministry of compassionate care to patients, staff, and associated families. We seek to provide emotional and spiritual nurture, always being sensitive to the traditions and beliefs of those we serve, and ensuring ongoing access to the clergy of all our patients. We collaborate with physicians and staff in the hospital because we believe in wholistic care, and seek to facilitate the spiritual dimension of health care. We also act as a bridge between the churches and communities we serve. Within the hospital we seek to maintain a constant awareness of and commitment to the mission of Adventist Midwest Health
