Advancing the Legacy...
Adventist LaGrange Memorial Hospital was founded with the generosity of the people in the community it serves. ALMH has pledged to provide the best possible healthcare to our patients and their families. In response to the growing needs of the community, ALMH announced plans to build an $80 million new Patient Care Center.
The new Patient Care Center will provide almost 200 state-of-the-art patient rooms that include private bathrooms, cable television, computer data ports and sofas that convert to foldaway beds for overnight guests. The new Center strives for a "home-like" atmosphere to allow the patient the highest possible comfort level in order to reduce stress and anxiety. Additional benefits to the new Center include:
- Patients will be closer to the emergency department, operating room suites and diagnostic services.
- Double hallways will make traffic less intrusive.
- Nurses' stations will be more strategically located in proximity to patients' rooms.
- Separate patient elevators and discharge exits allow for more privacy.
- More spacious waiting areas will provide added comfort for visitors.
- Conference rooms will facilitate private doctor/family consultation.
Generous community members, foundations and businesses have stepped forward to help make this vision a reality. Community Memorial Foundation made a lead grant of $5 million. In addition, Community Memorial Foundation has pledged a challenge grant of $5 million. For every dollar raised up to $5 million, Community Memorial Foundation will match the contribution.
We invite you also to share in our vision of providing world-class, community based care in the most state-of-the-art surroundings. For more information or to make a gift, please contact Beth Leuck at 708-579-4992.
The Capital Campaign Cabinet
Several physicians and leaders from the community have committed to serve on the Capital Campaign Cabinet to help raise $15,000,000 for the new Patient Care Center. Their commitment will be the key to our success.
