New Emergency Department Construction Under Way
Adventist GlenOaks Hospital is constructing a new $7 million Emergency Department that will allow the hospital to continue to provide high quality care in a safe, comfortable setting.
At 25-years-old, the current facility is faced daily with a challenge of accommodating an increasing number of patients. The expanded facility will be 21,000-square-feet of room, with more, larger exam rooms and a private family lounge. There also will be flexible trauma rooms, new specialized equipment, a dedicated Radiology suite and nursing stations with greater privacy for patients.
The expansion is part of a four-phase, master campus plan that includes the new ED today. In the future, an improved lobby, a patient care wing, and a medical office building will be added.
“We are committed to the needs of our community and this plan allows us to prepare for future growth,” said Brinsley Lewis, CEO of AGH. “It is our intention that our mission of patient care will continue in a seamless manner with little to no impact or disruptions.”
