Adventist GlenOaks Hospital is a 186-bed facility positioned to meet the healthcare demands of the rapidly developing western suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. The hospital joined Adventist Midwest Health in 1997 and is a part of the Midwest Region of hospitals. The 200 member medical staff and a team of professional employees serve more than 36,000 patient visits per year, providing outpatient and inpatient primary care, behavioral health and wellness services.
Dedicated Primary Care
GlenOaks Emergency Department is a certified Level II Trauma Center with board certified emergency medicine physicians. The hospital is equipped to provide urgent and emergency care 24-hours a day, seven days a week. In the event a tertiary level of care is needed GlenOaks maintains transfer capability to Loyola Medial Center and Adventist Hinsdale Hospital. In addition to the trauma center, GlenOaks was the first in DuPage County to dedicate its entire obstetric unit to LDRP suites, allowing new mothers to labor, deliver recover and receive post-partum care in the comfort of one room. GlenOaks also maintains a strong priority in administering community wellness services. The Hospital's Community Outreach Education Program offers education support classes, screenings, behavior modification programs, health fairs and lectures to the community.
Behavioral Health
Serving as the entry point to all Adventist GlenOaks Hospital Behavioral Health programs the Assessment and Referral Department provides immediate assistance, 24 hours a day. The referrals may be to various support groups, psychotherapists and substance abuse services in DuPage, Kane and Cook Counties. The hospital provides inpatient and outpatient behavioral health treatment programs for adolescents, adults and seniors. The goal of these programs is to rapidly stabilize the patient and identify the sources of their problems.
