Adventist Bolingbrook Medical Center: Fact Sheet
Adventist Bolingbrook Medical Center has been serving the community with primary care outpatient services since 1981. The center is the State of Illinois' first Free Standing Emergency Center offering members of the surrounding community 24-hour emergency care. This designation permits patients requiring basic life support care to be transported to the center by the Village of Bolingbrook paramedics. Other services include radiology, pathology, cardiac testing and rehabilitation and the Adventist Paulson Rehab Network. The location of a physician office building on the Center's campus provides patients with access to medical specialists from Adventist Hinsdale Hospital.
Emergency Services
When emergencies happen and seconds count, it is comforting to know that you can count on the emergency department at Adventist Bolingbrook Medical Center. Staffed by specially trained nurses and clinical support staff as well as world-class, board-certified emergency medicine physicians from Adventist Hinsdale Hospital, Adventist Bolingbrook Medical Center is there for you when accidents happen. The physicians have Advanced Trauma and Pediatric Life Support credentials in order to serve patients of all ages, from little league disasters to elderly emergencies.
Cardiology Services
Adventist Bolingbrook Medical Center now offers comprehensive cardiology services including cardiac diagnostic and rehabilitation services. In the cardiac testing department, services include:
- Treadmill stress and stress echo testing
- Adult and pediatric echocardiograms
- 24-hour holter monitoring
- 30-day event monitoring
- Electrocardiograms
Results are returned to the prescribing physician in no longer than 48 hours.
Cardiac rehabilitation services include Phase II and Phase III outpatient programs. Staffed by registered nurses and exercise physiologists, BMC's program assists patients in developing a personalized exercise and lifestyle modification. Both programs require a physician's consent and exercise stress test to participate. The program provides a personalized exercise program as well as heart rate and blood pressure monitoring.
Radiology
As technology advances, so does the radiology services department at Adventist Bolingbrook Medical Center. Now a comprehensive source for radiological services, Adventist Bolingbrook Medical Center offers quick appointments and tests administered by state-certified technicians registered with the American Registry of Radiological Technologies. Services include: mammography, CT scans, MRIs, general X-ray, and ultrasound diagnostic studies. The results are read by top board-certified radiologists from Adventist Hinsdale Hospital.
Primary Care
Among the primary care services available, full-time physicians in family practice are located in the Professional Office Building along with other affiliated physicians and professionals. Expanded access to family physicians is available through the Hinsdale Family Medicine Center at Bolingbrook that is staffed by physicians on staff at Adventist Hinsdale Hospital and in the Hinsdale Family Medicine Residency Program.
Adventist Paulson Rehab Network
The Adventist Paulson Rehab Network is a highly respected rehabilitation program serving the western and southwestern suburbs with more than 50 specially trained physical, occupational and speech therapists and support staff. Laboratory
A full range of laboratory testing and pathology services is available on-site. Emergency patients have access to these services 24-hours a day, 7 days a week. Laboratory results are analyzed by board-certified pathologists with reports quickly returned to the prescribing physician.

Through wellness program and community partnerships, Adventist Hinsdale Hospital encourages patients and neighbors to become active participants in their healthcare. Community outreach includes many different wellness programs including support groups, fitness and nutrition classes, health screenings, smoking cessation and childbirth preparation classes. Adventist Midwest Health also serves our senior community with a wide variety of programs specifically geared toward mature adults.
